How to Properly Use a Squeegee

The first thing you want to do is make sure your squeegee rubber is good. Bad rubber will lead to bad looking windows. Replace your rubber if needed. Next you will want to soap up the entire window you’re cleaning. What we want to do is push all the soapy water downward with our squeegee. The swivel method uses a series of strokes combined with turns that hold the water away from the leading edge of the squeegee. Once the turn is completed by the opposing direction, there is no water or dirt left. Working in a curvy downward slope side to side will help avoid leaving streaks on the glass. This is easier said than done. Learning to cut your edges just right takes LOTS of practice. When it comes to detailing all you should have to do is give your edges and corners a quick swipe and it is on to the next one. Once you have only a small amount of detailing to do after you finished squeegeeing, then you are well on your way to becoming a window cleaning master.
