WHY CLEAN WINDOWS?

Why do we clean windows? Beyond the obvious reasons, the most important reason for glass maintenance is to avoid degradation. Glass will, over time, become permeated with a variety of contaminants.

WHAT CAUSES DEGRADATION? 

1. HARD MINERALS (FROM SPRINKLER SYSTEMS AND RUN-OFF) 
2. OXIDIZATION (FROM METAL FRAMES AND SCREENS) 
3. ACID RAIN 
4. OVER SPRAY (PAINT, CHALKING, MORTAR, ETC.)
5. SALT (FROM ROADS AND DRIVEWAYS)

Regular cleaning to exterior window surfaces (a recommended twice a year) will help you to avoid replacing your windows! Glass is a porous substance. Without cleaning, airborne pollutants can easily penetrate the surface, causing a transparent, dirty look. 

Without maintenance, your windows may become permanently damaged.
